I understand that most people need to have an understanding of how much something will cost. It's not an easy thing to do when you are designing and building a custom piece.

Like buying a new piece of furniture there are a lot of variables that go into the price of the piece, many different fabrics and accessories. The same applies to a stained glass piece and the size is but a small part of it. Of course the design and the intricacy of that design is a strong factor as is the type of glass. Like fabric there are a variety of styles and vendors, the glass can be machine made or hand blown; it could have texture and density or it could be beveled. All these factors play into the cost of the stained glass art piece.

To give some range I can tell you that depending on all these factors, the range could be anywhere from $230 to $295 a square foot. So if your finished piece was 3' X 5' that would be 15 square feet, at $250 per square foot the cost would run about $3,750.
